Caitlin and Alan start reading “The Screaming Staircase” by Jonathan Stroud with Part One- Ghosts! We are sad that the King’s English has been changed in our North American versions. But we aren’t sensitive about it. Just angry. We love the world building, the word choices, and Lucy’s narrative voice. The jokes are good too.

Caitlin and Alan wrap up the first season of Lockwood & Co with “Not the Eternal.” Is it a window or a mirror? Have we lost our Talents? Are we reckless enough? We have a great time in the graveyard, and bring season one to a close.

Caitlin and Alan go to an auction and steal a mirror. Well… we watched some teenagers do that, anyway. Go undercover and listen to us talk about cold dead hearts of stone, jumping off of buildings, and The Golden Blade. We are NOT “Mesmerised” by the pretentious uppity Golden Blade!

Caitlin and Alan can’t believe how much story is packed into “You Never Asked.” We roll up our sleeves and go to a party. Lockwood is repressing, George is lying, Lucy is shopping, and Skull is being chatty. Follow our map to the library as we explain it all.

Caitlin and Alan strap into some electric chairs and watch “Death is Coming.” Did George go on a date with Pamela Joplin? What happened to the whole day? What is happening in the cafe? Lockwood is making terrible choices but it all okay because Flo Bones is here!

Caitlin and Alan review “Sweet Dreams” where Lockwood becomes nearly unbearable. Brutal arguments make us upset. Adults are being slimy and terrible. But a visit from the doctor helps to soothe our wounds. Time to visit a graveyard!

Caitlin and Alan watched “Doubt Thou the Stars” and end the Screaming Staircase anime arc. We love the adaptation changes from the book. Barnes has dug a deep hole. Will he ever climb out? Does the staircase scream enough?

Caitlin and Alan watched “Let Go of Me” where our favorite teens bond as a team. Caitlin would have do a lifetime of therapy for any of things that happen to our agents. Alan is seeing mirrors everywhere. Let’s sit down at an Italian Restaurant and talk about it.

Caitlin and Alan watched “This Will Be Us”! Lockwood and Co is a punk rock ghost-hunting agency trapped in a life and death struggle with capitalism. At least if you ask us it is!
